I haven't... but as a boxing fanatic I would like to, I can imagine not having distractions around u while concentrating on a big fight. People around also plays a part of ur judgement of the fight, whether boring or exciting. I'm either getting the ppv and having people over cuz they ask if I'm getting it.. or I'm invited to one... damn..

I have watched several PPV events by myself, and I easily prefer it that way. Casual fans could care less about the undercard fights, the commentary, or the pre-fight interviews. It's great being able to catch every single thing, especially when you are paying $25-55 bucks for it. It's hard to watch a huge fight (with a fighter like Mayweather or Pacquiao) by yourself though. Everybody wants to come over and see fights like that...

Plenty. Most of my friends prefer other sports so, it was to big BIG fights for them to care. And my only friend who cares about the other fights lives an hour or so away, and the drive can get tiresome at times. I prefer it sometimes, actually.

Unless it's an informed mind I'm watching with, I don't wanna hear Johnny Casualfans take on why blocking with your face is a bad idea.

'Oh, really! You don't say!?!? I thought he was trying to break his fist with his forehead!'

I have a few times before. I actually enjoy watching big fights by myself. I can actually focus on the fight and listen to what is being said. I would rather hear that then people chatting the whole time Im watching the fight. I dont need a bunch of drunk friends yelling at the tv for me to enjoy myself.

Co-sign. Only hardcore boxing fans will come over, but a lot of times the boxing friends I have are going somewhere else for the big fights. I'll order PPV all the time and stay home and watch intently, all by myself. Its actually better, no distractions. Its awful right after the fight, because you don't have anyone to discuss the fight with and go party with afterward.
