^^^I am not off....everyone that thinks this fight should happen is off!!!! How does Hatton deserve a fight with the winner of this mega fight? Cotto is not shot!!! Cotto has been always himself! Go look back at his earlier fights...dude has always had a problem with large (or non chinny) opponents...

I dont think Cotto shot. On the Contrary I think he is fine. My argument is this, How many times must Cotto prove himself to the "hardcore" fans? He deserves to do what Pac and Floyd do by getting a nice payday and destroy a "name" fighter too, or is that only reserved for those guys?
I mean damn, Cotto fought Shane, Margarito, Clottey and now Pac....who else should he fight to "prove" he will fight anyone?
I think there are many of European and American fans that would want to see this and will pay. (ONLY ONE RICKY HATTON and all that!..lol)

I understand that very well.
But NO Fighter just keeps fighting the best without making smart money making business decisions. Even the best never did that.
Its the ones that ONLY think money are the ones that upset the hardcore fans(Floyd to an extent).
But Most people that are fair minded know Cotto has already proven himself to fight anyone.

Im a Cotto fan and even like Hatton. I do agree that he will create a buzz which is good for boxing, will be semi entertaining even to the hardcore, and will definitely satisfy the casual fan.

Cotto deserves to destroy Hatton like Mayweather and Pacquiao did. He fought everyone so why would anyone get mad if Cotto takes this fight?
