Lamont Peterson vs Bradley who you picking

Lamont Peterson vs Bradley who you picking? Obviously im a Tim Bradley fan and im hoping he can win this fight, but Peterson is a good fighter whom i respect and this is a tough fight for Bradley in my estimation, Peterson has a good chance of winning to.

Bradley got this ****, I doubt Peterson would have gotten up if Holt was able to land something like that on him. But then again, I doubt Peterson would be ****** enough to let someone land a punch like that on them. Though it was a very hard punch to see because it was a quick left hard ass hook. Bradley is a god damn beast though, to get up from a shot like that and to go back to work with high intensity and high-workrate.

You know DK, I was going to ask your opinion on this fight.

I think Peterson is a good boxer. He may not be ranked in the top ten, but 140 is a division with some good young talent, so it's really not a knock against him.

I think he can beat him, as Bradley is still a bit open and squares himself up. However, I don't know if Peterson has the power to deter Bradley from coming in and pressuring him; I mean, if the bomb that Holt landed didn't, what can Peterson land that will?

I think Bradley should be favored based on his level of opposition but Peterson seems more technically skilled and could stink out a "boxing" decision.

I watched these two fighters for awhile now, more so of Peterson. Petersons techinical abilities impress me but he doesn't really have pop neither does Bradley for that matter. But Bradleys intensity wasn't even slown down when Holt hit him. As someone else stated, I don't think Peterson has the power to bother Bradley at all. That doesn't mean Bradley should walk into punches like a moron, he still needs to have a fairly good defense or Peterson will win by points if Bradley doesn't have a defense.

I agree, he might not be experienced at this level but he has had a fair few fights now, he has always had a good defence, good jab, good body attack and just has good all round skills imo.

Peterson can be criticized for being one hand orientated, he has a good jab but sometimes that its all he throws, when you are fighting someone like Bradley who puts lots of pressure on you need more than a left hand to keep them off, that said i do! think he will let both hands go in this fight so it will be very competitive imo.

                Good assessment.

I think Peterson's, Quartey ,Winky type style defence might also play into Bradley's hands and allow him to get off first and more often.

Bradley could outwork him, dont see him stopping Peterson though.

Peterson will have all the same physical advantages that Holt had; both are 5'9 and have a 74" reach. However, Peterson will have to be much more active and try to control the ring and tempo, rather than stay along the ropes like Holt did.

I also question Peterson's stamina a bit. He's been ten a few times, and I don't think he's been twelve once. He'll need to prove his stamina as Bradley always comes in great shape and can throw for twelve rounds.

In over 300 amateur and pro fights Peterson has never been on the canvas. Combine that with the fact that Bradley is an over rated puncher and you have to believe that this fight is going to a decision.

Bradley is fighting in front of his home crowd on his promoter's card.

Peterson's typical defense consist of catching punches on his gloves and elbows.

Bradley throws an incredible amount of punches. The majority of these punches being ineffective scoring attempts.

Therefore, Peterson will have to change up his defensive game plan and slip more than he catches. Because he tries to catch Bradley's punches the crowd will think he is getting hit and cheer loudly thus influencing the judges.

Peterson must also go hard to the body early and often. This will slow Bradley's motor down.

Peterson is the more skilled fighter, but he is no KO artist and to leave it in the judges hands on someone else's home turf and on their promoter's card is a scary proposition.

                    Speed - Peterson
                    Power - EVEN
                    Defense - Peterson
                    Footwork - Peterson
                    Heart - EVEN
                    Chin - EVEN
                    Experience - Bradley
                    Reach - Peterson
                    Height - Peterson

If Peterson stays hard to the body early he may get a late round stoppage. If no stoppage than it is a pic em in the judges hands which probably won't bode well for Peterson unless he just severely out classes Bradley.
