James Tillis showed Buster Douglas how to outbox Mike Tyson

Go watch that fight, watch how Tillis punches through Tysons guard in a close win for Tyson. And some of you said Tyson was in his prime at the start of his career and in his 20th fight he showed vulnerabilities. James Tillis has been KO'd 11 times and none of those 11 times were from Tyson. No question in my mind would Lennox Lewis beat any version of Tyson. Tyson be eating the hell out of jabs when opponent punch right through his guard.

Tillis lost the decision. He neutralized Mike to a degree but couldn't beat him. And Buster Douglas had his best nite while Mike had his worst nite simultaneously. That version of Buster gives hell to any HW.

You should see where I'm going with this though Mangler, I hate how ppl act as if Tyson was invincible. Was he a good fighter? Yes, of course Mike was a good fighter but I hate how fighters like Mike and Oscar get this invincible Aura about them with some fans of boxing.

Mike wasn't invincible. No fighter is. DLH was never even regarded as such. I'm just sayin I don't get the comparson. Tillis neutralized Mike wit movement and holdin. Buster beat the hell outta him goin forward most of the way.

Tyson is magically not in his prime when he loses to douglass and or holyfield. People don't want to accept styles make fights sometimes, even if the guy who isn't highly regarded douglas pulls of a huge upset.

Mike was prime when Buster KO'd him. But it's obvious he was lethargic that nite. It just is what it is. Don't mean the loss ain't legit, it just means he wasn't at his best in that fight. And he was still in his prime for Holyfield too, just not at his peak.

I would also factor in the "outside" noise for Tyson going into that fight....
Divorce proceedings with Robin, Mike had the Flu, not even a good training camp + Buster was on his 'A" game = Mike getting KTFO.....I wasn't expecting Tyson to lose in the manner he did though.....and him looking for his mouthpiece at the count of 6 when he should've gotten up....I don't know...that was a very sad day for the boxing world....

Wasn't betting odds that night 40-1? Man it would've been nice to "accidentally" bet some bread on Buster that night....lol!

Angulo magically had the flu too when he lost to Cintron.

Lets give Douglas excuses for winning, his mother died.
