Let's start with public enemy number 1, Floyd Mayweather Jr:

Corrales - He was unfocused because he was going to jail after the Mayweather fight
        G. Hernandez- Had already lost to prime DLH first
        C. Hernandez - Had 2 losses already
Jesus Chavez - He was made for Floyd
Castillo I - Mayweather lost that fight
Castillo II- He was done and shot
Gatti- Was washed up and shot
Judah - Why don't you fight Baldo instead?
Baldomir - Pshh please, he had 10 losses already
De La Hoya - He was old and past prime
Ricky Hatton - Overrated and he was coming up 1 weight class
        Marquez - Too small(true)

        Shane Mosley wins:

De La Hoya I - Best win
De La Hoya II - Mosley lost that fight
Vargas I - Trinidad ruined him already
Vargas II Wasn't the same fighter anymore
        Collazo - He was bald
Mayorga - He barely beat him
Margarito - Margarito is a cheater

        Manny Pacquiao wins:

        Barrera I - Best Win
Barrera II - No need to fight him again
Marquez I - Marquez was robbed
Marquez II - Marquez was robbed again
Morales II - Morales was shot and been through too many wars
Morales III - Why fight him a third time?
Diaz - Picked on the weakest Lightweight
De La Hoya- Weight drained, past prime, and old
        Hatton - Overrated
        Cotto - ???

        Miguel Cotto wins:

Torres - Torres was not that special
        Quintana - Best win
Malignaggi - Despite breaking his jaw he only won a close but clear UD...Overrated Hatton there stopped this guy.
Judah - Just came off 2 losses, was done already
Mosley Mosley landed more shots than Cotto, robbery at MSG like always.
Clottey - Once again, a robbery at MSG.

        Bernard Hopkins wins:

Joppy - Who couldn't beat him?
Trinidad - He was at his best at 154
De La Hoya - Blown up JMW
        Tarver - Best win
Wright - Came up almost 2 weight classes
        Pavlik - Same as Wright

You see guys, we can go on and on, discrediting every fighters notable wins but then why do we watch boxing if we're not going to appreciate their accomplishments and just ***** about every single fight?

All of those wins that i made an excuse for are not really what I think, it's what i have read in boxingscene.

        *Sigh* When will we change...
A++ post and the truth is people that discredit other fighters only downplay the significance of a potential victory for the fighter they actually like. I hope I can give you k for this post but I may need to spread some first.

I like the post but in a way, it's kind of shows that people are aware that just because a guy was a name perhaps he wasn't prime at the time.

It makes people think more about what the resume actually means.
For example the DLH at 147 wasn't exactly the best dlh there was against Pac, nor the 147 Gatti could hardly be called a killer at that weight against Mayweather.

And fighters like Mosley are even harder because they have bad and good streaks ekeing out wins against Estrada then having a resurgence against Margarito.

I think it's important to have dialogues like this so we can put it in historical perspective.

Of course there are extremes to this like the op pointed out.

Having an opinion is something, picking apart a fighters resume is another thing. You work hard to beat all of those tough fighters on your way to the top, for someone to come with their "opinion" and discredit all of your best accomplishments you can hardly call that person a boxing fan, just a critic of the sport. If you love boxing then you would just learn to appreciate more and more fights instead of trying to make boxers look like they were given every win, like if they didn't put work in their accomplishments.

What's funny about people talking about Hatton is when they say how ''overrated he is'' or ''Who has he beat'' but then they finish by saying, ''Oh, but i've got nothing against Hatton though''. It's quite blatantly obvious that they do have something against Hatton, so don't put on a front.

Cotto fans, i'm talking to you especially. You're the worst for it.

We get too critical on here some......most of the time but as obsessed hardcore fans if we don't pick apart the bull**** fights that are billed as great wins that the casual fan doesn't know any better about due to being un-informed, then no one can or will.....I personally believe that the posters on here, not the trolls and alts but the real fans who love boxing on here are the most knowledgeable and informed boxing fans in the world.....The fact that some can even come up with a solid criticism of a fighters whole career on here is a credit the the dedication and interest of the fans on this site.
If flimsy resumes are not picked apart a skilled fighter can fight nothing but over matched opposition and no one would no better and he can get a legacy he doesn't really deserve, so to those who do fair and neutral research thank you.
