I don't think he has a problem physically, I just think his limitations are in his power mostly. He's a tough, aggressive fighter but his lack of power goes contrary to his style when you think about it.
Yeah he needs some explosive power to match his aggresive style

Exactly... everyone now knows what Diaz brings to the table and how to exploit that, especially when in his last 4 fights he's faced 3 experienced guys in Campbell, Marquez and Malignaggi.

The Campbell and Marquez losses have definitely taken their toll.

Who cares, he's a pudgy fat boy with no power. Just a matter of time before he gets KTFO again.

He's an exciting fighter to watch though, thats for sure. I really enjoyed the Julio Diaz, Freitas and Marquez fight. It's too bad he wasn't able to use those same aggressive tactics on Paulie.

Realistically, being finished is based upon your last leg of your career/the race, so to speak. If he wanted to fight the Michael Katsidis' of the world and make some money, he could even potentially get a rematch with Marquez, who he was beating on points for a while. So, it depends on how you look at it.

If he's going to treat this like it's do or die and that he only will fight the best of the best, he might be in for some trouble.

Beating Paulie again would definitely help him out. However, it's a tough fight.

For sure. Win, lose, draw, the fans always get their money's worth when this kid fights.

I wonder how good he was in the first place. He was definitely good, I'm just not sure he was ever a potentially great fighter. I don't think he's necessarily fallen off, I just think he can't do the things to elite opponents that he can to mid-level/b-class opponents.

Still one of my favorite fighters to watch though. In my opinion the most exciting fighter in the sport today.

Ultra aggressive fighters who are main eventers as teenagers typically burn out in their 20's. Diaz looks to fit that pattern.

his best days are behind him. He can still fight at a pretty high level but his style of fighting isn't meant to last. The dude is smart and has a college education so he definitely has a backup plan if he can't fight anymore
