Ruiz better not base his strategy of the Valuev fight. Anyway Haye is going to go for the KO Ruiz's best chance is to weather the early storm and hope Haye gets tired.
Haye vs Ruiz: The Quiet Man is Ready To Fight David

Whats with all the discredeting of David Haye? He took on a 7'2 300 pound Nikolay Valuev in Germany and won isn't that a tough challenge? He knocked out the undisputed Cruiserweight champion Jean Marc Mormeck in his own backyard in France wasn't that a tough challenge? No? And now he is fighting John Ruiz in a fight where most americans probably even you to are saying that Ruiz will win, how is it an easy challenge when you guys are favoring Ruiz to beat him? Why are you saying bull**** like he will fight Meehan or Austin like it's some sort of fact? Is Haye all of the sudden a guy that only takes on easy challenges now? Shure he backed out of the Klitschko fight, but you have to remember that Setanta was finished he wasn't going to get any money, if you where him would you fight for free? I think not.Futhermore you'd be nuts to expect that David Haye would choose a fighter on even Ruiz's level to make an optional defense against if he did not have this mandatory.
Scanning the WBA top-15 and knowing that a Klitschko fight is out of the possibility for the time being I would bet good money that if Haye and his new buddies King and Sauerland has their druthers the first defense of Haye's title would be in London against either Kali Meehan or Ray Austin.
In fact one of those matchups are what we are likely to see after Haye-Ruiz.Comment

I've got a funny feeling we may see Haye-Holyfield...I really hope I'm wrong, but I can just see it.
I hope Haye will finish off Jawwny nine lives once and for all...Ruiz really needs to let go...just think if Valuev somehow managed to get a win against Haye we would have seen Valuev-Ruiz III for crying out loud.
Given the WBA's love affair with Ruiz, I wouldn't be surprised if they demanded a mandatory rematch when Haye beats him.
Given the rotten nature of modern boxing politics, I think it will me a miracle if Haye was to get in the ring against either Klitschko...the alphabets seem to do everything in their power to stop someone becoming an undisputed champion...there was no way we would have seen Valuev against either Klitschko...there was no pressure for him to do so, either...I think Haye might need to do what Chagaev done and release the WBA belt to fight one of the Klitschko's...but I don't see that happening, however.Comment

Well, Mr Ruiz against Haye will you show people why you are a mandotary challenger? Or will you reveal to us why we all question why you are mandatory from doing nothing?
You'd better do something special against Haye. You are mandatory, so dont give us no performance like you did against RJJ.Comment
