Cotto vs Pac: Predict the Fight!

ok, first thread, so here goes:

How will the fight play out? Post the details, here is your chance to be Nostradamus, we will be bumping this thread as soon as the fight is over on the 14th (or 15th, wherever you may be)

cotto will put the pressure on pac and pac will move in and out to avoid getting hit. pac eventually lands a solid punch and cotto gets suprised because pac turns out to be stronger than he expected. cotto becomes more cautious for the rest of the fight, pac turns up the punch volume and the ref steps in to stop it.

I'm having a hard time making a final prediction. I could see it going Cotto's way, due to his strength and counter-punching. I can also see it going Pacquiao's way, due to his speed and movement.

This is one fight that I'm just gonna have to sit back and watch, with an open mind.

Like I have stated b4 pac puts all he has in one punch lands and hits cotto and NOTHING HAPPENS!!! it'll be competitive while it last till cotto crunches the jab to the chin and the left hook to the body enough to get the stoppage 7ish round.

If Pacquiao wins, it'll be by stoppage or corner retirement. If Cotto wins, it'll most likely be by decision.

Ok here goes my prediction take it for what it's worth...I am a Cotto die hard.



Both fighters try to make statements in the first round...Cotto comes out trying to be patient and stalk manny...reverting back to his Pre Mosley way of fighting smaller men...Pacquiao will be elusive through out...but not as unhittable as most Pac fans think...Pac man using in and out leg movment darts in...I believe that the first time Pac lands in the fight will be the key to whether or not he can win the fight...If he lands on Cotto and Cotto walks through it ...Big trouble in Pacland...If he gains Cotto's respect it turns into a strategic fight....With Cotto becoming more of a counter puncher...If Pac can't hurt Cotto ...Cotto goes into stalk and kill mode...which I what i belive will happen...Cotto will use his piston left jab to catch Manny coming in as he lounges with big lefts...Manny will be frustrated with the constant jabbing and begin to try to stay in the pocket longer then he would like to try to land(round 5 by this point)...this is when Cotto begins to land the left hook that spells doom for Pacquiao...after Pac gets tagged he will revert back to the toe 2 toe fighter that made him who he is today....Cotto with his bigger frame and stronger shots stops Pac late in the 10th.

If i'm wrong i'm wrong...but it's whats been in my head.
