Im a fan of mayweather, but I never ever said he should go down as one of the greats. Far from it. He hasnt proven he's got any staying power. None of the fighters of the current generations do. Not when you're trying to claim you're in the same category as dudes who have well over 60 fights on their resume. Floyds got like what, half of that? Nah, the guy likes to talk. I really think he deeply believes he's the greatest. He knows this game is a business. And how do you do business in boxing? Promote and hype fights. You gotta have a little personality in boxing. He's not the first fighter to have a big ass mouth. Muhammad Ali, Roy Jones Jr, even Mike Tyson late in his career. Talk about boredom, this fool has no intensity. Sure the guy has skills, but he's for damn sure not winning any personality contests.
And when you're remembered through boxing history, thats partly what you're remembered for.
