What you got to understand about the slow plodding mitt work that Cotto does...is just what you type about...Slow plodding mitt work helps with strength and accuracy...So when you get in the ring and move full speed your going way faster and hitting the target from muscle memory.

I don't refute that. I'm sure there's a reason for it, which apparently works for him. I was referring to recent workout vids where he's hitting the pads and heavy bag in slow fashion to the vid in this thread. He does looks faster now.

Is just a small sample but his hand speed looks like it did against Mosley and compare to the other videos we seen before his hand speed is faster and his combinations look sharp.
