Phil Landman, the conditioning trainer and nutritionist for WBO welterweight champion Miguel Cotto, is confident that his fighter will not have any issues with making the agreed catch-weight of 145-pounds for Saturday's bout with Manny Pacquiao. Cotto's team arrived in Las Vegas early to get adjusted to the climate. The majority of Cotto's camp has taken place in Florida and Puerto Rico. [details]

What are you talking about? The fight weight is 145, and I'm sure Cotto will be making that weight. If you are saying that if he comes in fight night more than 147lbs then there will be excuses for Manny, it sounds for me like you have doubts in your fighter. The best man will win in that fight, no excuses if both weigh in at 145 or lower; regardless of fight night weight.Comment

As a Cotto fan and someone who can't wait for this fight to happen, I really hope that he doesn't come in over 145 because if he comes in at 147, the fight won't happen. Roach won't let the fight happen if he thinks Cotto has a competitive advantantage over Pacquiao. Trust me, you don't want Cotto coming in at 147. He trained for 145 and will get to 145 or at worst case 145.5. But no matter who wins this fight, these are 2 guys with a lot of heart who will not quit and that's what will make it a great fight, not only their skills.Comment

Cotto is person of his word, he is a PROFESSIONAL and if the contract that he signed says 145 , then he'll come in at 145. He wont pull a stunt like 146 pounder did 2 months ago. A mil a pound over for cotto is like a 6th of his payday . Can't wait for the weigh in to really feel the excitement.too bad the undercard sucks nuts..Comment
