          Leonard's fraudulent titles

People should know that everything they read [apart from this letter] is not always true.

Ray Leonard's 168 lb and 175 lb titles are fraudulent. He fought Donny LaLonde of Canada who was the 175 lb lt-heavyweight title-holder.

BUT................his contract forced him to come into the fight under 168 lbs, which was the super middleweight class.

So Donny by forcing himself to make an un-natural weight, came in completely drained, even though he went, I believe at least 9 competitive rounds.

LaLonde was truly robbed of his title that night. Leonard always had to have not only an "edge" but the complete "blade".

Disgusting, and the article writer should, and probably DOES know the above facts, and is, by his bestowing 168lb and 175 lb titles on Leonard, complicit in a barefaced lie.

Did I say "disgusting"? Let me also add "revolting".

            Manny lineal championships
            112 beat Sasakul for it
126 beat Barrea for it - This a lineal title
            130 beat JMM for it
140 beat Hatton for it - and another lineal title

            Manny's World Championships
112 - WBC beat Sasakul for it
122 - IBF beat Ledwaba for it
130 - WBC beat JMM for it
135 - WBC beat Diaz for it

Is that so had to understand?

He will become a 5 division world champion if he beats Cotto, simple as that!
We are talking about 7 titles in 7 different weight divisions not world championship. This lineal titles are far more recognize than other world championship title (like IBO etc.). All you mentioned above are titles. Is that hard to understand? Has anybody done that before?

                  I'd say equal.

The fight was at 168 and Leonard got an additional 175lbs Belt. He never fought at that division.

Manny Pacquiao has four world titles from different weight divisions from the Big Four sanctioning groups. Who he beat for the title is off to the right.

                    They are:

                    WBC Lightweight 135 David Diaz
WBC Super Feather 130 Juan Manual Marquez
IBF Super Bantam 122 Lehlo Ledwaba
                    WBC Flyweight 112 Chatchai Sasakul

Pacquiao has one world title from one of the two smaller world groups:

IBO Light Welterweight 140 Ricky Hatton

And the Ring Magazine Featherweight Championship makes six.

                    - 126 Marco Antonio Barrera

I believe the two titles discussed here are legitimate because Pacquiao fought the best fighters out there at the time, not because of who sanctioned it.

                      Question is, why & how?
