Wilfredo Gomez won the title in his 15th fight then went on to defend it several times before fight 24.

ahh, i wanna be even more clear. the alignment from knee to ankle was off, causing his foot to almost roll. ouch. that had to have caused a short but somewhat sharp line of pain in his lower leg.

Not that big of a deal at all to be honest.
So why isn't every boxer doing it?

All the names mentioned in this thread (apart from Leon Spinks) were very good fighters and nowhere near bums.

no, he is a big guy and mouth breathing to compensate for the lack of oxygenation.

I remember going into the Qawi fight that Spinks was 22-0-0, and after that he made a few more defenses at 175. He may have been like 26-0-0 or 27-0-0.

Maybe you are right. Doesn't matter though.

Haye is not a bum, I wouldn't say that.

I would say Valuev was exposed twice by people Haye's size or smaller, so let's not get ahead of ourselves and proclaim Haye as this monster either.

Time will tell on Haye's heavyweight ability.

And with 4 minutes on boxrec, we could name numerous fighters with better pedigrees in their first 25 fights and people who moved weight classes.

I know what SIX is getting at, but let's not overhype Haye either.
