The fight was dull, but what else is a "normal" sized Heavyweight (traditionally speaking; 6'3" 218 is Ali stature) to do against a 7'2" monster with power, and loads of stamina who always sits on his punches? Haye was uncertain what to expect, so he fought smart. He danced, he moved fluidly, and picked his spots carefully.

Was it pretty? No, but it was entertaining in spurts, and he even rocked the big man a little bit at the end of the fight.

I hate David Haye, but he did what he had to do to win without risking himself too much.

That said, he's going to have to be a little more aggressive against the likes of the "normal" heavyweights who can move and time him. His persona will attract media attention. If he proves capable of adapting his style to his competition, he could become a very successful heavyweight.

            I mostly agree with you

LEts be honest people. This fight was the only one on Haye`s resume which wasn`t very entertaining (though i should say many people found it very tense, i guess)... Absolutely all the rest were explosive, dramatic and entertaining... This was one very special fight against one very special opponent!

I think Haye will bring lots of excitement when he fights Ruiz.

Anybody with at least 2 brain cells knows that either Klitschko would easily destroy Haye.

soo.. david haye has better opponents to write home about?

David Haye = Chris Bryd with a punchers chance

I've seen a few post saying the Klits will be suprised by Davids Speed and Power... but nothing in his fight against a much slower opponent suggests he has what it takes to even get a clear shot at any of them before being semi blinded by either Klitchkos jab. Unfortunately I believe Dave is weary of his chin and i see him fighting on the back-foot against the much taller fighters, its just a style observation of mine which is why I think either Klitchko f*ks Haye up badly.

however, he may fare alot better against others... just not the Klitchkos... or my brother David Tua (actually i think Tuas tailor made if Haye just keeps his right hand close to his cheek guarding that chin like Ike, but Tuas my homie)

Check out the post fight interviews. There is no doubt that Haye mashed up his hand on Valuev's chin and the right hand in the second round looks like the ticket.

I'm delighted that Haye is at the top, it was good to even see a packed out bar in England which a tonne of interested spectators. Makes a nice change.

Both Klitschkos are tall orders. Wladimir could go with a brutal right. That right uppercut Vitali took from Lewis makes him seem like a very tough nut for Haye to crack.

I've no issue with the Klitschkos, respect them both. But when the fight starts, I'll be shouting for the Hayemaker no doubt.

Klitschko 2009 you should watch the sport of boxing sometime instead of just TVOing Klitschko appearances and playing with yourself.
