Vitali Klitschko: “David Haye is already in Don King’s basket”

During a recent chat with Moskovsky Komsomolets, Vitali Klitschko shared his opinion on last Saturday's David Haye-Nikolay Valuev bout for the WBA heavyweight title. The WBC heavyweight champion’s forecast was true but only partially – Haye really looked a little better, but the judges gave the victory to him and not to Valuev, as Klitschko predicted. [details]

I was hoping this wouldn't be the case but King's like a bad smell that won't wash off.

I thought Hayemaker promotions worked with GBP?!

Schaffer was interviewed on Sky and was seen talking to Haye after the fight. Saying that though there has been rumours with about King and Haye, but I wouldn't fret too much about that.

Haye and his team are intelligent people, they've managed to get this far shunning promoters and making the fights themselves.

As Vitali says, he "predicts" - though, Haye is free to negotiate by himself and don't have no co-promotional bindings except for Golden Boy.

Sauerland and King only get a monetary share of Haye's next 3 fights (50% of each promotion). This is already K2's style to stir up conspiracy theories about a fight with Haye not going to happen b/c of King/Sauerland...

This sounds like conspiracies based on nothing from Vitali.

King probably didnt mind Haye getting the shot with Valuev as it was a big money fight and he also has Ruiz i beleve who is next up for a title shot.

As a promoter Wlad/Vitali/Boente ain't better than the rest...but they always try to make it out as if they are such good guys and the blame is always on their business partners in negotiations...

it is very weird how Haye got the decision in Germany in a champ's home town.....

Haye did win of course but something is fishy....
