Who's the last "Hard Hitter" that has really Connected on Pacquiao?..

Marquez was the last person to rock Pacquiao and before that it was Larrios. I don't know how he's going to deal with Cotto's power....Cotto has dealt with a very fast southpaw (Zab) and a very mobile southpaw (Quintana) plus he's the proven fighter at welterweight so I'd see this as an upset if Pacquiao won even though he's the betting favourite. He's got nothing to lose because if he wins it will seriously boost his legacy and if he loses people will say he'd no right to be fighting at welterweight.Comment

To my recollection..
DLH barely even touched him in the 8rds
Hatton hit him once I think and backed Manny a lil bit before bein ROCKED!..
He only fought at Lightweight ONCE against an OK-at-best Puncher in David Diaz..
So Marquez was the last real hard hitter that hit Pacquiao..and even wobbled him a couple times..right?..

The biggest thing in this fight is the speed, Manny's got a speed that is hard to cope with and he got faster in the last 2 years or so, improved since the JMM fights.
I know that Cotto is a solid fighter with power and stamina, but in this fight, you'll see how overwhelmed he will be when Manny bounces in, throw a combination then bounce out again. Thats how it will look for the first 2-3 rd's. I do anticipate as the fight goes on Cotto will take greater risks and leave himself open for Manny's hooks, especially the left one, so the question is, will Cotto's chin withstand these punches or not?
Cotto's chin has been proven to be quite solid so far, but the punches he will be take on Saturday night are different, thrown with great power and excellent technique, full snap behind them.
Im from neither boxer's home country, only a neutral obeserver, will enjoy the fight to its fullest without any bias.Comment

The last person would probably be Marquez but he recovers immediately after. Another thing to consider is he might have been weight drained in some of his previous fights. There's always that if though.
That's why this fight is so great and there is so much anticipation. Both have shown vulnerabilities and you really don't know how much the other's strength will have an impact. Hopefully it won't be a short night but while it lasts, I can't see it not beeing great!Comment

Truth is..
He won't get neither..I've been saying this is a Lose-Lose situation for him as far as a fans standpoint...
If he wins..he beat up a blown up featherweight..and should've done it easier and quicker..
If he loses..he lost to a blown up featherweight..and should be ashamed and hang em up..(according to some)
only way this benefits Cotto is financially..which his personal business..
and he won't get #1 P4P for only beating Pacquiao..he'd have to beat Mayweather next..
if pacquiao able to hurt him then he lost to someone who could fight at that weight. nuff said. if pacquiao can't hurt him then pacquiao should be at WW in the first place then.Comment

P4P is all Politics..common sense says that if anyone beats the #1 P4P fighter that should make him the #1 P4P fighter until he gets that spot taken from him
but all the subjectivity wouldn't allow it..depending on who it is..they'd have to beat 3 top contenders on the same night with 1 arm tied behind their back..and for others all they gotta do is hype themselves up and claim it and fight Lightweights at Welterweight to reclaim it..Comment
