Do you agree with Koncz: Pac would be great without Roach. Freddie? Not so much.

Aside from the valuable perspective of wisdom in the sport that Roach offers...Roach also offered, and still does to an extent, someone the American public could relate to more in the beginning of Manny's career. Manny may not have landed the big fights/matchups had he tried to come up in boxing through a different scenario.
And as for the flipside, Roach could be the best trainer in the world, but if he doesn't have a breaktrhough talent to mold, he's left twisting in the wind.
That is an excellent point. I have not given that enough consideration. Thanks.

Steward and Floyd are like-minded in so many ways. I think Floyd would be that great with you as his trainer.

As they always say about Manny and Floyd, you don't have to motivate those guys. Almost any trainer can teach the fundamentals pretty equally. It is the motivation aspect that separates good from great in most cases.
I don't think Steward would of done a great job with Manny. The style that steward teaches is not for Manny. It wouldn't fit. Just like how Steward did't quite fit with Jermain Taylor...

Freddie helped Pacquiao master his craft and is still looking for ways to help Manny realize his true potential and Pacquiao was humble enough to listen and dedicated enough to train his hardest. They have both brought each other fame. Roach helped him gain recognition in the early part of his career and Pacquiao has helped Freddie get more attention lately.

It depends if Both respect Emmanuel. Floyd called him an uncle tom. I don't even know what it means exactly but it seemed quite bad.

Floyd doing padwork with uncle roger is sexy. I think Uncle roger knows Floyd well and let's him do as he wants, while Emmanuel seems a guy that wants control.

              ****** ass statement.

Roach made Manny the fighter he is today and has played a big role in Manny's career. Manny wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for Roach developing his style and skills as a fighter. Roach is the perfect trainer for Manny inside and outside the ring.

Would Manny still be an ATG without Roach? Maybe.

Roach doesn't get the credit he deserves for being a great trainer and match maker. Just look at what he's doing with Jose Benavidez and Amir Khan. Khan was a good fighter with potential and Roach is making him a lot better and developing his boxing skills. You can clearly see a difference with Khan how he fights with Roach in his corner and how he fought with his previous trainer.

Would Manny be able to beat Floyd if Buboy, Steward, or another trainer was in his corner? No.

Manny wouldn't be the same fighter that he is today, if it wasn't for Freddie.

I'm sure he would have been a world champion, but no way near fighter of the decade etc.

Manny's skills have progressed so much fight by fight. Roach did an amazing job with him.

And now you can see it with Kahn. Kahn use to come running in like a fool. If I'm Freddy I give Kahn another 2 years before fighting the top dogs, because he could be insane good by that time.

That is, if he can take a real punch.

Roach loves offensive fighters, and Kahn is perfect to build on.

                    Nope. Pacquiao needed Freddie.

Everyone on the east coast turned Pacquiao down. No one on the west coast would take Pacquiao in except Freddie.

So, yes. Pacquiao needed Freddie to be great. Freddie even refined Pacquiao's style to mirror his own. If you watch Freddie fight, you see shades of Pacquiao in there.

Koncz is useless and he is jealous of one of the few people around Pac, who are really important.
