Of course they watered down the episodes because they didn't invest any money in this fight. What are you an idiot? Pac and Cotto are both great in the ring but their personalities are boring, they can't promote a fight like Mayweather. HBO has money invested in this, it's just too bad they can't draw mainstream audiences.
don't expose yourself here.....gtfoh !Comment

Damn Pull, you be going in on posters who say anything about Pac.
I don't think what he posted should have been addressed by calling
homie a **** hole? The video game "Pacman" has been around for
DECADES!!!!! I'm surprised no one in his camp or other wise didn't tell
him where it came from. So yeah, it is a lil aukward that he wouldn't
know that.
Pullcounter - don't underestimate the guy if he cannot speak english fluently, it doesn't mean that he only knows 50 english words, Manny not only improves his boxing skills but also his english literacy. Have you noticed his interview after the fight? Normally, with other non-english speaking boxers they put an interpreter beside but Pac doesn't need it, coz he understands english.Comment

It's a battle of strength and speed, then again, it's not that simple.
In terms of their fighting weight and their natural weight, MAC is 2 weight classes bigger than Pac. He is much stronger, consistently putting down much bigger opponents with sledgehammer hooks and a ramrod jab. He's shown that knockout power throughout his career.
Aside from a vulnerability to uppercuts, MAC has also shown no discernible weaknesses that his opponents could take advantage of. And he has underrated boxing skills. Review his fights with name opponents noted for their speed. He outboxed and outpunched them all. Yet more than the strength and his boxing skills, Cotto has shown the tenacity of a warrior who would not be denied.
But Pac won't just take Cotto's punches and lie down. The man has well over 50 fights, many of them against world champion fighters in 6 different weight classes. On the elite level, he's clearly been exposed to and has solved more fighting styles than Cotto. And if reports are true, he has enough pop at the weight, enough to bring down that heavy-hitting junior middleweight sparring partner of his a couple of times.
So while Cotto has a great chance to end things with his punches, I think it is more likely that Pac's featherweight-level speed and punch output, his footwork and awkward angles, his conditioning, those explosive combinations, and Roach's fight strategy will see him through this fight.
I'll walk the talk and bet all my measly points on that.
Any takers?Comment

24/7 could be so much better regardless of who is fighting
24/7 is pretty trash when you think about what it could be, including Mayweather episodes. As a black person, I don't find Mayweather cooning out on tv to be funny.
But anyways, this 24/7 could be very interesting if they just knew what storylines to use.
For Cotto:
They could talk about the Margarito fight, did he use wraps or not? how they feel about him being reinstated?
How did the Margarito loss make Puerto Ricans on the island feel?
If he beats Pac how will they view him on the island in terms of legacy?
Show old fights of his against Malignaggi, Judah, and Mosley, all fighters who were faster than him, but still lost
Does a good big man always beat a good little man?
The split with his uncle
Will Manny's speed beat Cotto's power? Bring in the Marquez fights to show how Manny couldn't really outspeed him to an easy victory and why not since Marquez is slower than Cotto
How will Manny deal with Cotto's pressure? Cotto has never lost to a smaller man and has destroyed all of them. Manny will be smaller come fight night and he doesn't have the ability to back Cotto up with pressure like Margs or Clottey
As for Pac:
Obviously the historical implications
The catchweight
How do people now look at the de la Hoya and Hatton fights now that the hype has died down?
There is so much for them to talk about yet they talk about nothing. Hell they could have some respected boxing writers on there to give their opinions so that we won't have to hear biased answers from people in their camps all the time. Go talk to fans on the street, something. They could've created real drama and conveyed how much of a pick em fight this really is.Last edited by ATL_Boxer; 11-09-2009, 07:54 AM.Comment
