boxing is close to street fighting becoz of normal ppl only punching and boxing is a punching sport. fighters dat run around wudnt be 2 effective in the streets but still alot better then the average man and boxers who are the hard hitters wud demolish any1 on the street

Think about it. Any contest where I would prefer to have Arturo Gatti on my side than Pernell Whitaker has very little to do with boxing. It's no coincidence that boxers have not enjoyed a huge degree of success in other combat sports; what you want in a street fight from a boxer is a tough guy with plenty of heart and meanness who can fight dirty
