You clearly don't understand me. As i stated, Americans are immigrants from all over, so anyone can say they're American if they're a citizen.

Now this same logic doesn't work in most of the rest of the world. This is due to what i said before "pretty much every Nation has a dominant Ethnic group (****gonoues country)"

In USA an American simply means citizen, ethnicity is irrelevant.

Pretty much everwhere else citizenship + ethnicity = what they are (Hungarian, Italian etc.)

E.G. If you have an Ethnic German who is born and raised in Japan, they're Japanese in terms of their citizenship but they're not truly Japanese (Meaning ethnically/blood)

So for a Brit to say that "they" have 6 Champs when none of them are ethnic Brits, pretty sad that they don't actually have one.

So, a black Englishman is not ethnically English, even though he was born and raised in the country, as his family roots are from elsewhere.

But the same doesnt apply to a black American. As he was from immigrant roots.

Where's the difference? If an Englishman cant be classed as a ethical Englishman if his roots come from elsewhere, then an American cannot be classed as an American if his roots dont orginally come from America.

every small country is starved for sports heroes in any sport. Life is hard enough & a legitimately great sporting hero is used by the media, government, & the people as an escape & make them feel better. Humans are tribal by nature & very nationalistic nature.

Lewis was born in West Ham , London but moved to Canada when he was 12. He did represent Canada at the Olympics when he was 18 though.
