Until Julio Cesar Chavez retires, he's still the greatest of his generation. He's way past his prime now...but his fame will never be eclipsed.

But there was one better than him, IMO. Way back in the past : Salvador Sanchez. Truly, I think he would have beaten anyone from any generation at his weight class.

You can make an argument for both but the fact that Barrera lost to Jones was because he wasnt as developed as he became later. They are both great fighters and if one was to be better it wouldnt be by much i think Erik could beat Barrera but everytime they fight he has too much pride to box and he just goes to war, for example the second fight was more of a boxing match and i think a lot of people apart from the judges had Erik taking it.

Morales is a great, but Marquez is faster, more skilled, and a bigger puncher as well. He's the best of this generation, in my opinion.

No way in hell. Morales has had stiffer competition, has a better record, and has held world titles at 3 different weight classes. Morales is more versatile and is the bigger puncher at 126 IMO. Morales would beat Marquez if they fought...

How many times did Morales fight at 126? And what's the story about Marquez not getting fights with Barrera and Morales?

i think barrera and morales were each others equal until barrera beat him on november 27th. barrera in my opinion is mexicos best mexican figter of this generation. both fighters have won titles in 3 weight classes, both fighters have beaten i think its over 15 boxers who have held world titles and both fighters have lost fights. the only thing that seperates the 2 boxers is the fact that barrera has beaten morales twice and morales has beaten barrera once.this in my opinion makes him the better boxer between the 2 fighters.

                    your joking right?
because that's pretty funny, remember sanchez beat all the names he did as convincingly as he did before he was 24, not even near his prime yet. maybe morales has done more now but only cuz he's been fighting much longer.

imho, NOW ITS A TOSS UP BETWEEN ERIK AND MARCO, the 3rd fight did not settle anything, they should do it again and hopefuly after a third try KO the other guy ...
