I feel kinda bad for Valuev because he was trying to press the fight.
But Haye could have beaten him clearly if his hand hadn't messed up. He always had the skills to beat Valuev, and he finished strong. In a way...I dunno, he kinda deserved the win on some level...
I had money on Haye so I'm happy, but yep feel bad for Valuev, he tried his best.Last edited by starjammer; 11-08-2009, 11:06 PM.Comment

Europe isn't a single country... it actually has over three times the populace of the US. And it was fought in a country where Valuev is normally favoured. (favored, Fat Yank).
The logic here is moronic tbh... Froch was actually landing punches in the Dirrell fight against a man his size... Haye understandably fought on the back foot and was landing about six punches a round against a guy that was landing ****. Haye didn't initiate clinches, ***** to the ref or give any reason to make the fight close.
For the record I had Dirrell winning 115-112 and Haye winning 115-113.Comment

I don't understand how anyone can claim that Valuev won a fight where he landed no more than 3 punches!
Boxing should be scored on:
a) Clean Punching (25%) - Haye clearly won this
b) Defence (25%) - Again Haye won this
c) Ring Generalship (25%) - Valuev had this, mainly due to his size forcing Haye onto the back foot
d) Effective Aggression (25%) - Haye landed the aggressive punches; Valuev plodded forward throwing piss poor jabsComment
