Not a robbery by any stretch. It was way too close to be a robbery. But Direll could have and should have won by a huge margin simply because if his ability. He chose not to, he chose to run and to hold and to avoid fighting even while, as the last few rounds showed, he could have won HUGE simply by firing back more.
I stick by it. Haye could scarcely have fought better against Valuev in terms of executing his gameplan. Direll could have done so much more and chose not to.Comment

If anyone is seriously comparing the challenge Haye had stepping up to fight the freakishly huge Valuev to the challenge Dirrell had fighting Froch then quite frankly they are idiots. Haye fought Valuev the only way you can fight a man of such colossal size and finally exposed him for the very very poor and clumsy fighter he is.
Dirrell, on the other hand, did nothing but whine and moan for 12 rounds which is why he didn't recieve the best of ovations from the Nottingham crowd. That crowd, by the way, had been in that arena for many many hours and had been messed around by American TV forcing a delayed start for the main event (wasn't it around 2am UK time it finally started?!), so criticising them is a bit rich.Comment
