Who deserved the win? (haye v valuev)

got to hand it to haye. he fought a smart fight.

concerning wlad. don't worry hayefans. haye is going to milk this belt and fight worst matchups than wlad for a while. probably fight the many brittish lacky hvwts.

Haye won, Valuev pressed but it was ineffective aggression and isn't a scoring factor and he missed like 90% of his punches

Haye landed more of the harder, cleaner more effective punches and wobbled Valuev in the last round. Haye proberbly could have done a bit more and if he'd fought the way he did in the 12th from the start without gassing out he could have stopped the giant IMO.

i voted for Valuev as I dont think the fight was decisive for either fighter. But if you assume you need to "beat the champ" to become the champ as Shogun Rua found out vs Machida, then thats where my vote goes.

Im happy Haye won, i think against a less freakishly size opponent ( like the Klits ) then the fight would be more entertaining.

I'm not sure that Haye he did enough to CLEARLY win the title, but then again Valuev is just awful and barely touched Haye so he can hardly complain about the decision.

That last round where Haye rocked Valuev probably swayed the fight for Haye, but in truth, both fighters would probably have got hit and hurt more in their sparring sessions than they did in the actual fight. Happy with the result anyway as we need more excitement in the heavyweight division.

How can anyone think Valuev won.

Plodding forward doesn't win you rounds. Haye didn't look great, and wasn't that active, but he CLEARLY won.

Haye certainly didn't win clearly.

He did land the cleaner blows but his workrate was really really bad especially in the middle rounds.

I thought Haye edged it but i wouldn't of been surprised with a draw or with Valuev edging it.

Haye deserved it. Valuev showed aggresion but no effective agression. To be fair the fight could have gone either way but you can't deny the better fighter won
