I'm basing it off recent accomplishments and quality of opposition tho..
    Right.

And if Floyd and manny are about the same size, and Floyd can beat manny, then Floyd is the better P4P fighter. By definition.

    P4P is skill/ ability. Mythical.

Weight rankings is resume. Actual accomplishments.

True. But he has fought them. And he fought Miguel pretty evenly, and Migs was the top WW.

If we give JMM a high p4p ranking on the basis of his work against Pac, don't we have to do the same for the WW ranking based on Clottey fighting well with Margarito and Cotto?

Either way, I'm comfortable with the following rankings:

      1) Cotto
      2) Shane
3-5) Floyd, Clottey. Berto in any order.

Yea ok, so what if most people feel Mayweather can outclass Pacquiao? Pacquiao has accomplished much more in these previous 2 years (please don't bring in PPV sales either though because I'm talking real boxing accomplishments) than Mayweather, and also I always thought p4p literally meant champions who can win belts in other weight classes. I think Manny Pacquiao is literally proving he is p4p number one, especially considering he is fighting the likes of Cotto.
Nah man. P4P isn't a "title" that you "win". You are looking at it like Ricky hatton does.
If hatton had beaten Pac, would you have made Ricky the p4p #1? No. Why not? Because there are other fighters that you "know" are better.

Similarly, I "know" that Floyd is better than Pac. So I rank him above Pac p4p...even though I wouldn't rank PBF above the other WW's.

        Perfect example:

Who is ranked higher at WW: Cotto or Floyd? Cotto.

Who is ranked higher P4P: Cotto or Floyd? Floyd.

That tells you that the criteria are diffeent.
