this will look like marquez vs pac except cotto is bigger and stronger and faster than marquez. cotto jab with stop all that moving in and out and bouncing around pac likes to do. i love but this is just a bad fight for him he believe the hype and is allowing his people to throw him in with the wolves. but much credit dude aitn afriad. cotto jab and timing and power will stop all pac speed and volume punching and movement. clotty was a prime welter who gives anyone problems. oscar was jsut a mouse ready to be feed to the snake. anyone 147 and under would have beating oscar that night hands down. zab judah would have stoped oscar in 4 rounds that night

My opinion changed on who won the Clottey-Cotto fight after I watched it again last night. I had Clottey beating Cotto the first two times I watched it. Then the third time I watched it I tried to be a little more generous to Cotto and score the 6th round 10-8 even though it shouldn't have been scored that way and I came out with a draw. When I watched it last night, I had Clottey beating Cotto. That was another hometown decision like the Mosley fight.

Larry has got a point too. I know De La Hoya sucks compared to Clottey, but if you pay attention to Pacquiao and Cotto's styles you'll see that the speed between the two fighters is night and day. Pacquiao is more unpredictable and awkward in his attack where as Cotto is pretty straightforward even though he throws a pretty decent variety of punches. About a week ago I said I was picking Cotto to win this fight. But now the more I think about it, I believe Cotto is in over his head big time. Cotto is just way too easy to hit.

he is nowhere near as fast as marquez. At 130 marquez had blazing handspeed. He slowed down dramatically at 147. cotto is no where near as good a counterpuncher as marquez.

After this fight is over with, we are gonna have more JMM vs. Cotto who takes it threads I believe.

I was thinking the same think. Maybe not faster than Marquez, but fast enough to be effective.

I have no strong allegiance to either fighter. I just see Cotto beating Pacquiao.

Cotto's got this..GUARANTEED!..I'm not worried one bit

If you notice the Pacquiao-DLH fight..you'll see that DLH was only there to make Pacquiao look GREAT..Manny outweighed DLH on fight night..and DLH could barely stand on his own and Manny still couldn't knock him down..

Pacquiao started exchanging, flurrying, and moving in and out on DLH..and DLH would barely use a jab or even fight back..DLH made Pacquiao's worth go through the ROOF!..but it was an illusion..Calderon a 108lb fighter was doin the same to DLH in Sparring..why wouldn't Pacquiao be able to?..

those who fall for that **** you saw on HBO last night or this morning will be victims to an illusion and might as well admit that you believe Cris Angel is really a Freak and can float above buildings and walk on water..
aren't you the guy having the thread "i'm falling into the hype -help!" ?? LOL . continue to psyche yourself up, you really need it.

It was 160K I think, I haven't forgotten about it. Also, try not to get banned this week. (your avatar and sig may get you banned, you might want to change it).

                    Let me know something

Has Cotto ever faded in the stretch of a fighter vs a smaller opponent and when he's not backed up?

marquez won rounds by only counterpunching against manny, marquez never used the jab and was still able to win atleast 6 rounds of the 2nd fight i think cotto will be able to do the same thing and the jab will really be the x factor and will put cotto over the top
