Nobody should even mention Jones alongside Hopkins. Jones is/was by far the superior fighter,and dealt with Hopkins easily in 1993. Hopkins is a good fighter,probably level with Calzaghe,but nowhere near RJJ.

im taking it you didn't watch the 1993 fight??? it was a close fight that Jones fairly one, but it wasn't easy and Hopkins was tagging him more and more as the fight moved on. Hopkins was obvious not the fighter he was a couple of years later. If they would have fought again. hopkins by UD or LATE TKO.

Hopkins and Calzaghe are somewhat similar since they both feasted on one division for a long time, but Hopkins has fought better fighters late in his career.

RJ blows them both away IMO.

But the difference is Hopkins collected ALL the Major belts and held them for years. He fought Top opponents/contenders since he won the IBF. You cant say the same about Calzaghe when he got the WBO. He fought a lot of C/D class fighters in the beginning of his reign and didn't step up his competition i think till 10 years after he won the belt.
