should Marvin hagler really be undefeated?

he has a UD lost to willie monroe and a Md lost to bobby watts but those fights were in philly and watts/monroe were the hoemtown guys , i ahvent seen those fights so im guessign he was sahfted, and also alot of people thought he shoulda won the SRL fight. so if these fights were scored right should he really be undefeated. and could anyone in there prime ever really beat hagler?

He was kinda robbed in the Monroe fight, i felt he lost the Watts fight clearly. And as for the Sugar Ray fight....He did give away the first 3 or 4 rounds to Ray by stalking and not landing too much. Ray scored points on controlling the pace through Ring generalship. Ray was a master at this. He used to wind his hand up like a windmill then fire an uppercut. It gives the judges the impression that if a fighter is performing in the ring he may be so dominant that he is able to do this. We know this isn`t the case but Sugar Ray was the Oscar De La Hoya of his day and the fight was in Vegas!

No, it was a case that it was not a prime Marvelous Marvin Hagler...It was the younger Hagler, a prime Hagler would KO Watts senseless, Marvin was not "Marvelous" when he fought him.
Ever since Hagler fought Antuefermo, he was one of the greatest MW ever...

Everyone loses at some time, and all they can do is learn from them

One bad decision. Well maybe. Not three.

I don't think I ever saw the Monroe or Watts fights, but my eyeballs were stuck like glue to the Hagler~Leonard fight, and it was a major ripoff. Hagler deserved that decision, and he should have got it.

A loss or two never hurt Sugar Ray Robinsons image back in the day. And it never really hurt Joe Louis either. So why are undefeated records so important in todays game. Its the same game, but we now just try to hold our fighters to almost impossible standards. Ya know, if we let a loss or two slide off of our shoulders as they did back in the day, then these promoters might not be so afraid of letting their guys fight descent fighters on the way up. We are partly to blame for the lack of actually good fights coming off. Its our unreasonable expectations of our fighters of today. Think about it..............Rockin'

I disagree on Hagler getting robbed. Leonard won the fight. Razor close, but Leonard was the smarter fighter and he won.

Hagler's losses were early. Leonard has 2 losses I don't agree with.

That Camacho thing I don't really count and the Terry Norris loss shouldn't count as a bad thing against Leonard. Ray should've kept his ass retired really after the Hagler win. Of course he wouldn't have gotten the win over Duran again, but yeah he wouldn't have the draw to Hearns either. He already had a "No Mas" win over Duran and a stoppage win over Hearns.
