Good point. But you forgot to mention a couple of things. The Floyd fight was at 154 and Oscar weighed 170 at fight time. The Pac fight was at 145 and Oscar weighed 145 at fight time. The gloves that Floyd was wearing were two ounces heavier, plus they were handpicked by Oscar. Oscar gave him the softest no-name gloves he could find. Pac was using Reyes - the puncher's gloves that are better designed to punish/KO someone. Other than those things, you have an excellent point.

Personally I hope Pacquiao dont catch Cotto with a shot like that. I remember Pac saying his hand hurt for 3 days after the Hatton fight. If he hits Cotto with that same shot it would probably break his hand and/or wrist in several places.

Anyone will go down if they get hit with the perfect shot. Manny was not planting his punches with De la Hoya because of the reach advantage. He stated this on the post-fight presser, saying that he was afraid of that left hook.

Cotto would never get caught jumping in the air with his eyes closed. Pacquiao threw that same punch in a similar sequence against JMM and it barely grazed him because he saw it coming.

Cotto wouldn't see it like JMM though, but he would see it in time and take a little steam off. It would hit him good enough to do the chicken dance.

I think Cotto would go down, but get back up. That is a vicious vicious shot, along with the fact that Hattons head was already facing left, Manny just snapped it more than it was supposed to go and for Hatton. Cotto's chin is leaps and bounds better than Hattons.

de la hoya was rediculous that fight he had straights landing that you knew were coming. I saw a left left combo to the same spot too many times. Idk man I dont think that fight brought the best out of any of the two it shoulda never happened.
