I'm a college wrestler. I weigh 220 lbs. I can beat any pro boxer in a fight.

Only a wrestler understands. Just drop it...they won't understand.
I agree but they don't need to be wrestlers to understand. They just need to watch more fights that have taken place between wrestlers and boxers.

The truth is well documented for anyone who wants to see it: It's called MMA.

Why post this on a boxing forum? Why not an MMA one? If you don't want to follow the rules of boxing, why not just fight MMA?

You assume most boxers have no other training or street fighting experience, David Haye for example started off with martial arts and knows karate etc, Pacquiao did kick boxing before he started boxing and most fighters fought in the streets before going to the gym and cooling off. I'd love to see you attempt to take down Valuev, if he didn't want to go down you wouldn't get him down. Vitali Klitschko, another one who did kick boxing, he will just step back and kick or punch you in the head and KO you cold. Most boxers are extremely fast compared to the average joe.

I'd agree that a trained wrestler would have the advantage in a no holds barred street fight over a boxer in general. In a boxing match with boxing rules, the advantage would likely go to an equally sized boxer who would block, slip, and counter the wrestler until he either quit or got ko'd.

Yeah, mathed, this is apparently I am an ass-kicker type thread... Serves no purpose but sometimes it can be entertaining.

You're probably 120 lbs and in a wheelchair.

I can give you props for something, wrestlers/MMA'ers can take any one down, if they get them of guard, but if you try getting them when they're aware you can get kicked in your mouth or a knee or even a hard rabbit punch.
                      1) a boxer isn't throwing a knee. I'm not worried about that.

                      2) A boxer MAY throw the desperation kick, and it would be the weakest/untrained/desperation kick that would b stifled and have no effect.

                      3) A boxer may punch me. Possibly but it's going to be a punch to my back while he gets knocked off balance. It may hurt like heck.... or it may feel like my niece hit me.

Chad Dawson would do as well against me as I would do against him in a boxing ring. Dawson would KO me within a round. I would have him on his back or getting choked in the same time.

There are a couple of boxers who have wrestled: Kermit and Gato. Ask them who they would favor.
