Numa, brother, as much as wrestling is a vital aspect of fighting it also extremely limited if that's all only thing you have. If you're only going for takedowns, you're susceptible to uppercuts, knees, etc, adding boxers can just work on their takedown defence. More chances to KO you.
I'm a college wrestler. I weigh 220 lbs. I can beat any pro boxer in a fight.

wow guys who gives a ****. the thread starter is right, but boxers don't make fights on the street. THEY MAKE FIGHTS IN THE RING! How relevant is this anyway to how good they box? If you see a lot of street fight videos, going down is so easy. First of all, the act of walking with 2 legs is described by engineers who study bipedalism (walking on 2 legs) as a series of interrupted falls. from wikipedia:Engineers who study bipedal walking or running describe it as a repeatedly interrupted fall. The phenomenon of "tripping" is informative with regards to the "controlled falling" concept of walking and running. The common way to think of tripping is as pulling a leg out from under a walker or runner. In fact, however, merely stopping the movement of one leg of a walker, and merely slowing one leg of a runner, is sufficient to amount to tripping them. They were already "falling", and preventing the tripped leg from aborting that fall is sufficient to cause bipeds to collapse to the ground.Comment

going to the ground during a street fight is so much more likely to happen than staying upright. gravity is always against us, and there is only so much an untrained boxer can do to stay upright. but seriously, who gives a ****?Comment
