I don't know who would win but I know it would have been a better fight, Hopkins had way more stamina and was hungrier in 2002.

If putting a real bankable opinion on this looking in back hindsight. Hopkins wins. He'd be doing everything he was doing to be ahead after 6 in their '08 fight, plus have the juice in the tank to keep it from being a SD.

The clinch would've been just as effective in an earlier fight and Hopkins wouldn't get so exhausted he'd stop feinting, which would have gave him even more success with the right in the second half of the fight.

Only way Joe wins is if there was a really **** ref overseeing the bout.
