I really dont see this being too different than their 2008 fight. Assuming that Hopkins would beat Calzaghe,even knock him out simply because he was a bit younger,quicker etc. is misleading because so was Calzaghe,and his hands were also in better shape.

Both are great fighters,but whenever they met it would always be a horrible fight. They just dont go well.

They signed to fight each other in 2002, but at the very last minute Bernard demanded more money before eventually signing to fight Morrade Hakkar for less.

I'm actually curious about went down between Hopkins - Calzaghe in 2002.

From what i do know Hopkins fought Hakkar in 03 and had only one fight in 02.

Maybe Hopkins never signed due to being inactive for quite a while ?
