Oscar De La Hoya has changed his mind and switched positions on his prediction for next week's super fight between WBO welterweight champion Miguel Cotto and Manny Pacquiao. At first De La Hoya was picking Pacquiao to win but now he writes in his Ring Online blog that Cotto should win the fight. [details]

THE STRANGER SAYS:
Oscars logic is profoundly misguided and wrapped within a blanket of his still injured pride.
He was soundly beaten by a superb ring technician. Miguel has immense heart and dubious skills. My only fear is that Manny may have gotten serious a little late given the obstacles presented by his homelands tragic acts of nature.
The ill will which surrounds the Pacquiao camp is also troublesome. Are these events enough to propel a human force of nature such as Cotto to victory?
My gut tells me that Manny shall prevail through sheer talent and instinct.

I agree with Oscar 100%! He's not a popular guy on these sites but he know's boxing and he's honest 2. I know that MANNY didn't hurt him but it was the fact that Oscar could no longer effectively make 147, that MANNY was able to do what he did. Do you think this fight would have happened when Oscar was fighting the MOSLEY's, QUARTEY's, and WHITAKER's? EXACTLY. You HUMANS need to show more respect for what Oscar has meant to the sport and who he fought. nobody today would beat him @ 147!

you know what if oscar picks cotto you can bet pac man will win oscar never picks them right besides after seeing who cotto had as his sparring partners i have no doubt pac will win fred tukes please he is a journey man south paw who is slow as hell i had a kid raymond harris who fought hercules kyvelos and gave him hell till he got caught and he was fast he beat the breaks off of fred tukes as a amateur in the 97 georgia usa state championships so if he thinks sparring guys as slow as tukes will help him beat pac man he will be helpless pac will punish cotto and they will stop this fight after 6 rounds.
