I'm giving him infinite credit whatever the outcome. Cotto has been training for 12 weeks. Weighing in one pound less than the Clottey fight should not be a problem...
The show will go on, but he will be 1M poorer. He'll probably take it out on Bryan Perez' check anyway, so no harm, no foul. That dude needs to work out, he makes it look like Buboy is LA Fitness model...

I agree, making 145 shouldnt be a problem with the extra month. But because of it, I think his performance in the ring will suffer. He will be over trained.
It was genius for Team Pacman to make the fight at 145.
Thats why Cotto is a 2-1 underdog.. He's gonna be slow and sluggish more than ever before. He will tire more quickly etc etc.. If this was at 147 it would be another ball game. Cotto probably would be favored. That 2lbs is gonna be big
I don't see how a month extra of skipping, jogging and pad work will cause Cotto to overtrain. It's just a like a pre-camp to get his weight under control.

He should crop his eyebrows more. it will make him look 10lbs thinner.
