Ali was getting hit with a lot of hooks throughout his whole fight with Frazier pretty easily. Mayweather isn't that easy to hit. Both are great fighters but I think Mayweather's boxing skills are far superior to those of ali's. He could easily be an all time great, he doesn't have the courage and heart of Ali.Comment

It's not like Floyd himself breaks people down with body punching.
Ali used his ability to greater effect against better opposition. He was never a textbook boxer but at his very best it was near impossible to land punches on him, hurt him, outbox him, outspeed him, outpunch him, etc.
In fact you could make the case that the Ali of 1964-1967 got hit less than Mayweather.Comment

Mayweather's a good bodypuncher. Not a Chavez/Duran type, but he mixes it in well.
His jabs to the body disrupt opponents' rhythm, and set up other shots. He dropped Vargas with a body shot, and stopped Mitchell & Bruseles to the body. He hurt Hatton to the body in the 8th round. One of the things that he did very well on the inside against Hatton, when his left arm was locked up, was dig in right hands to Hatton's body. I think that took a toll on Hatton, as he did it numerous times. His body attack helped turned the fight around against Judah. Once he timed Judah for the straight right hand and got his body attack going, the fight was as good as done.Comment
