are Mayweather's skills better then ali's?

Ali was getting hit with a lot of hooks throughout his whole fight with Frazier pretty easily. Mayweather isn't that easy to hit. Both are great fighters but I think Mayweather's boxing skills are far superior to those of ali's. He could easily be an all time great, he doesn't have the courage and heart of Ali.

That was the comeback ALI who was completely different then the ALI in the 60's who could dodge every punch thrown at him. The fact that he was pretty much two different fighters throughout his career and still fought and beat the best makes his skills better than Mayweathers.

Floyd has better defense and is a better body-puncher than Ali. Ali was mostly a headhunter.

The Ali who fought Cleveland Williams was light years ahead of Mayweather. Later in his career Ali did get hit a bit more, but that's also because he fought the best of his era. Mayweather hasn't.

ali fought the best in his prime, and he fought the best past his prime....learn from that floyd...we can't even get avoid floyd to settle an old score with a past prime shane mosley...

You say its impossible because of the opponents. Well Ali didnt fight Frazier every time out as if Floyd never fought a great opponent. Floyd is more dynamic offensively simply because of his body work, Ive only seen one fight were Ali really went to the body. Defensively Id say Floyd is better. There are different versions of Ali though, the Ali of his early 20's wasnt the same guy that fought after he was exiled IMO, I liked the Ali pre-exile skillwise more.
