You say its impossible because of the opponents. Well Ali didnt fight Frazier every time out as if Floyd never fought a great opponent. Floyd is more dynamic offensively simply because of his body work, Ive only seen one fight were Ali really went to the body. Defensively Id say Floyd is better. There are different versions of Ali though, the Ali of his early 20's wasnt the same guy that fought after he was exiled IMO, I liked the Ali pre-exile skillwise more.

Dude I love Ali, and I extremely dislike Floyd. I'm not disrespecting either, but I was simply stating an obersevation. Mayweather can't **** with Ali's legacy; he just can't. I'm not disrespecting Ali by no means.

Ali was getting hit with a lot of hooks throughout his whole fight with Frazier pretty easily. Mayweather isn't that easy to hit. Both are great fighters but I think Mayweather's boxing skills are far superior to those of ali's. He could easily be an all time great, he doesn't have the courage and heart of Ali.

Ali had slicmoves for a bigger fighter, Floyd got hit more than a few times against Marquez. It's just that Floyd's punches are one shot punches that stand out and are memorable because they are not part of exchanges while Ali was often trading with guys in brawls.

Mayweather has never fought guys who could punch his lights out like Ali did either so when Floyd ever gets hit, he can usually shrug or laugh it off (Marquez fight, wink, wink). Floyd is much smaller and can contort his body much easier than a giant like Ali could. Floyd would have gotten dusted by Ali via KO before 3 rds though, so its like comparing a Porsche to a drag car, both are fast for their size but one is a hell of a lot bigger than the other.
