are Mayweather's skills better then ali's?

Ali was getting hit with a lot of hooks throughout his whole fight with Frazier pretty easily. Mayweather isn't that easy to hit. Both are great fighters but I think Mayweather's boxing skills are far superior to those of ali's. He could easily be an all time great, he doesn't have the courage and heart of Ali.

I'm not so sure, Mayweather was better in the inside, I could say that much. Other then that, both could box beautifully and counter comfortably off the ropes.

Technically, yes Mayweather is a much better fighter than Ali. He doesn't make any of the mistakes Ali made.

As for ring smarts and boxing brains, both very high up, but Ali did not have great technique.

Yeah they both are Great boxers, but I was a shocked to see Ali get hit so frequently by Frazier's hooks.

Its hard to tell considering the large weight difference but more importantly Ali's opponents were far more dangerous and skilled.
But I would lean with a very thin margin to Floyd.

what difference does it make...floyd doesn't challenge himself...whereas ali used his skills to push him to the pinnacle of the sport and beyond...imo a totally defensive fighter will never rise to the heights of an ali, who wasn't afraid to give up his body to inflict punishment...

so which of floyds oponnents were comparable to joe frazier that makes this comparison even remotely viable
