There is no way in Haiti that Cotto's sparring mates could emulate the speed that Pac has. I think it will be a competetive fight though regardless, Cotto is a tough, tough guy.
Cottos camp is totally ****ed up, he should be sparring with fast fighters like Zab Judah. He may have beaten zab already but I think pacquiaos much better then Judah but it would have been a great sparring partner for Cotto for this fight since I don't know many much faster then judah at 147.

I know, Pac's speed is his best asset and the guys that Cotto chose don't have that speed. Judah would have been a good choice, right weight, right speed, and right stance.

This fight between Cotto/Pac could possibly play out like Floyd/Marquez
when it was a case of too big and good for the smaller good fighter.
I have to give Pacquiao credit for having so many people believing that
Cotto is light work for him.

Another thing I've been noticing watching Cotto highlights: he loves the left hook to the body we all know this but when he throws it, he exposes his body to a left from Pac because of the way he digs into it- it looks kind of like a semi body uppercut. I think with Pac's speed, he could beat Cotto to the punch all night with a quick left to the body himself as Cotto winds up for left and then as Cotto reacts, pulling down with the right to cover up from another left body punch, Pac could slip to the left and come down from above with a strong straight left to the face- setting up a 4 punch combo to the face afterwards.

          Just a thought.

Pac has to spar with bigger guys because Cotto comes in nearly at 160 in the ring apparently.

Cotto's guys don't have the speed as Pac, which you are right. He is a smart fighter and I feel can adjust to Pac, but he may lose a UD if he doesn't get damage done early on. He does not have the stamina to hold up VS Pac for the whole 12, thats for sure.

Really think it's wise to have Zab as a sparring partner? Zab is indisciplined and probably wouldn't turn up. Not many have the speed that Pac does and are willing to spar for peanuts.

if pacqiao move to his right . He will move to cotto's left hook. And if pcquiao move to his left he will walk to cotto's straight right hand

u cant compare judah's speed with pac...i agree bro...judah has fast hands but he is stationary and he is not quick on his feet....pac is quick on his feet and throws combos in diff angles...pac is very difficult to read...

cotto has been sparring with chumps all his career and has done pretty well. the point of sparring isn't to do it against champions or undefeated prospects only
