I get what you mean though... like Whitaker-De La Hoya. Those who thought that Whitaker outclassed De La Hoya or whatever are insane. He made Oscar miss, and he also made himself miss by not throwing. I don't see how Whitaker is ahead if that is what happened in a lot of the rounds.
    that's what i'm saying.

defense prevents the other guy from scoring on you and that's all good but you still have to score more on them.

sometimes i think it's style points. the defensive guy generally is better skilled so he looks better.

the bizarro version of that is dirrell-froch. dirrell boxed froch's ears off and schooled him but he looked so ****** (*****) doing it so the style points went against him.

he needs to show more composure. it's all good if he wants to be a defensive fighter but show some poise and confidence.

Really? That's one of my favorite parts of boxing.

Jermain Taylor, we feel that you should be fighting green Arthur Abraham and flash in the pan Felix Sturm instead of rematching Bernard Hopkins, because Hopkins isn't **** in the middleweight division Jermain... so we are just going to need you to hand us those IBF and WBA belts about now.

The ABC boys can eat a ****... the WBA especially. If anyone wants to molotov their headquarters, they will have my blessing.

Dirrell needed to integrate his offense with his defense... he looks good when he uses combinations and runs that straight left down the middle while still slipping and moving... he didn't figure that out until later in the fight unfortunately.

I totally disagree with the Marquez-Diaz part... Diaz was whipping Marquez early IMO... I mean, Marquez may have been blocking shots, but he was also letting a lot of shots through. Did you see his equilibrium get destroyed by a Diaz left hook? Diaz was definitely landing more until Marquez turned the counterpunching on, and started to nullify the offense of Diaz.

It just seems to happen more than not lately when one champ can avoid another because of politics. Not the rule, but the norm. Pisses me off when a guy gets stripped of a title because he actually wants to unify and prove his worth. To drunk to think of any examples, but I know there are plenty. Just seem like titles can be used as a shield to not fight all the best.

              Cotto-Clottey
              Margarito-Cotto
Hamed and whoever... I know there is some example of it happening.
Pretty much anyone who fought Barrera at 126 (Tapia and someone else).

Klitscko-Chagaev was not for the WBA belt for whatever reason...

I won't get into it right now my friend, but I'm sure every example you can come up with I can show more. Alphabet boys can and will let the best matches not happen if its in their best interest. Key words being their best interest, not ours.

I want you to make me a promise that we do it sometime though, because that actually sounds like fun. A "let's see who can find the best examples of why ABC organizations are bad for boxing" thread.

Anyway, I'm off for the night. Later Jab.

Diaz definetly won some rounds and it was pretty close, but i cant remember which rounds it was exactly where theyd say diaz left hook or some shot and it wasnt even to that part of the fighter. I thought diaz was getting too much credit in round marquez actually won compubox numbers would contradict the commentators at times and hbo commentators would kinda just stay quiet when only marquez was connecting.
