Why I have Ward beating Kessler...

I believe Kessler will win but I don't mind Ward winning. I'll then be able to laugh at Calzaghe's resume even more.

ward is a very talented boxer but so is kessler
andre edges him in speed but kess edges him in power and expeirience
should be a very interesting fight

Perdomo wasn't that bad. And in fairness, Kessler was coming off a very long layoff.

I personally think Kessler is the goods. Although that means nothing until he really proves it, which he hasn't yet. I'm really looking forward to November 21st.

His skills are good but he is not James Toney, his power is good but he is not Gerald McClellan. The guy is best known for losing to Calzaghe.

Then we have Andre Ward. Right off the bat I can say that his resume is lacking as well but he makes up for it with exceptional Boxing skills. The way he handled Miranda was excellent (boring to some :down: ), no one thought he would have done is so easily. I don't care what anyone says, Edison Miranda is a good name to have on your resume. I hate it when people say he has no power, who cares, he's winning.

In their last fight, Kessler struggled a bit with his bum. He looked somewhat awkward which is understandable because his bum had an awkward southpaw style maybe to mirror Ward's switch-hitting style. Ward easily handled a bum who had previously been KOd in 1 by John Duddy. Like I said, Ward used intelligence and superior skill to take him out.

I don't believe Mikkel Kessler is the truth like how some people here make him out to be. I believe Andre Ward is incredibly talented and will surprise alot of people. Ward should face a stern test in Kessler and should be able to pass with flying colors.

Ward's lack of power is a far more serious problem than many people realize. Ward took 6 rounds to get rid of Kolle, but welterweight Paul Williams blasted Kolle out very quickly. Pavlik and Abraham seriously damaged Miranda, but Ward landed flush on Miranda all night and he still finished on his feet. Ward simply does not have the power to keep Kessler off of him. Ward has the speed and footwork to confuse Miranda, but Mikkel Kessler is a cat of a different color. Plus, Ward's habit of holding a low guard is bad news against a guy who throws a 1-2 like Kessler. Kessler by brutal KO a la Abraham vs Taylor
