and what did i say a few days ago when this was brought up?

pacquiao will not call off the fight, he'll fight for his fans and his people. that's just his nature. really happy to see he'll fight him even at 147. it should be a really entertaining and a quite amusing fight to say the least.

Why have a catchweight if Pac could fight at 147?
One reason could be that they never thought that Pac could grow as much as he had. I think they were trying to look into the Oscar De La Hoya fight wherein Manny weighed in 142 during the scales and 148 on fight night. They thought that they'd have to push hard just so Manny could do 147 because as obvious as it is in the De La Hoya fight, he struggled to max his weight for welterweight.

manny is so full of **** just like roach ***** ass dont be fooled by the whole arum and roach calling the shots bull ****. if pac didt give a **** about a catch weight he would have said ill fight at the full ww limit but he didt because his ***** ass wants that advatange just like pbf did against jmm. of course he gonna want to fight at 147 since a couple more mils are coming his way if cotto goes over. pac should be worried about cotto skills and not his weight. how can people be so retarted acting like pac has no say come on now this is the man that wants to be president but cant make decison when it comes to boxing gtfo. pac is laughing at yall ***** ass striaght to the bank.

I'll quote this for you to read. He never fought above 148 weight. Just imagine if Cotto could pull off a 160 fight night weight and Manny would just weight 148. Come on man!

Even though Manny would fight at Cottos natural weight he would be putting himself at pretty big disadvantage. The weight difference would be even bigger before the fight. Roach knows this and isn't going to disadvantage his fighter.

Right or wrong that's the way it is.

              .
Does Roach even have the power and authorization to do that?!

No, but he has enough pull on Manny to do it.

Manny won't though, not for this fight. He fights for his people and his countrymen as well as boxing fans in general would be dissapointed if the fight didn't happen.

If Cotto pulls a Mayweather ***** move he'll be eating crow from the fans anyway. Cotto has too much class to do that.

I don't know but I know Manny just wants boxing fans to enjoy and be happy. So hopefully Manny will still fight Miguel if he weighs 147lbs in weighing night. But I strongly believe he will..

It seems to me that Arum would be MUCH less inclined to call off a fight where he has already put out a ton of money.

It's not like Arum could sue another promoter....right? Of course, he can sue Miguel, but is that really, practically feasible?
