Cotto: "After I beat Pacquiao, he can fight Maywweather"
Collapse

Not saying it is so but it was kind of odd that he would say that
considering he feels like he will win this fight. BUT I think what Cotto
was implying was that since people keep talking about a Pac/Floyd
fight looking past him then they would see that fight after Pac loses
but I still find it strange that Cotto never talks about fighting Floyd?
I'm curious to see when/IF Cotto wins and the commentators ask him
if he will fight Mayweather next what he will say because if he doesn't
say "Yes" or he "wants to" then I don't know because Floyd is the next biggest fight for Cotto. I find it ironic that people say it's not OK for
Floyd not to call guys out but Cotto hasn't done it but then people say "That's not Cotto's style"? Again, should Cotto win on November 14th,
it would be in his best interest to call Floyd out and put him on blast
to see if Floyd is really ducking him instead of everyone assuming it
because how can we know if Cotto doesn't push the envelope?Comment

And that meant nothing. Floyd won't fight Mosley because of that.
Didn't mean to sound like I was attacking you homey. I just don't understand the importance of calling people out, as if the fight won't get made if fighters don't call others out.
I agree that if Cotto gets asked if he wants Mayweather next he should say yes. But if he gives the "I want all the big names" answer, that doesn't mean he doesn't want to fight Floyd, like many will say.Comment

Especially if he wins. Floyd is the next biggest fight for him and he
has to be vocal about it like he was about Clottey and Pac.Last edited by GRUSTLER; 11-05-2009, 12:56 AM.Comment
