What prime good fighter has Cotto ever KO'ed. It's easy to break down Alfonso Gomez. Mosley, Margarito, Clottey chased him around the ring, while Cotto ran like a 3!+ch

Not saying it is so but it was kind of odd that he would say that
considering he feels like he will win this fight. BUT I think what Cotto
was implying was that since people keep talking about a Pac/Floyd
fight looking past him then they would see that fight after Pac loses
but I still find it strange that Cotto never talks about fighting Floyd?
I'm curious to see when/IF Cotto wins and the commentators ask him
if he will fight Mayweather next what he will say because if he doesn't
say "Yes" or he "wants to" then I don't know because Floyd is the next biggest fight for Cotto. I find it ironic that people say it's not OK for
Floyd not to call guys out but Cotto hasn't done it but then people say "That's not Cotto's style"? Again, should Cotto win on November 14th,
it would be in his best interest to call Floyd out and put him on blast
to see if Floyd is really ducking him instead of everyone assuming it
because how can we know if Cotto doesn't push the envelope?

That's the article where he said that. He said it in response to someone asking him if he felt the talk of Pac/Floyd showed a lack of respect. He didn't mean it like he doesn't wanna fight Floyd.

#2. What's with this calling out bull****? These are grown men, calling someone out means zero. What matters is what goes on behind closed doors. Floyd is the next logical fight, and they'll try and make it. Cotto doesn't need to call him out. If that's Floyd's requirement for fighting someone that's just ******ed.

That said, I don't think Floyd is scared, and I think if Cotto wins the fight will get made.

Not saying Cotto is scared I'm just saying that it would make sense
when he is asked if he wants to fight Floyd next he should say "YES"
because that is the next best and big fight for him to make happen.
And you cannot entirely say that calling a person out doesn't mean
anything in Boxing because when Mosley just did after Floyd won
          against Marquez people went crazy.

And that meant nothing. Floyd won't fight Mosley because of that.

Didn't mean to sound like I was attacking you homey. I just don't understand the importance of calling people out, as if the fight won't get made if fighters don't call others out.

I agree that if Cotto gets asked if he wants Mayweather next he should say yes. But if he gives the "I want all the big names" answer, that doesn't mean he doesn't want to fight Floyd, like many will say.

            • I guess Cotto is a little fed up with all of Roach talk. Cotto might be more out spoken this time, but so has his opposition.

              • lol I love the critics who underestimate Cotto. They will be shocked when Cotto easily outboxes Pacquiao.

cotto could out box him but it would be easier to pressure him and make him fight backwards because pac cant fight going backwards

People are underestimating Cotto big time. Not only is he a bigger,
stronger fighter than Manny but he is a decent to good boxer that
showed it against Mosley. The thing that Cotto can't do is get careless
against Pacquiao like he did with Judah in the early rounds because
Pac doesn't let up. I think this fight has the potential to play out
like a replay of Floyd/Marquez in which the good bigger stronger guy
beats the good, strong smaller guy. Pac is a good Boxer but don't
see how he is much of a better boxer than Cotto because Manny can
be hit if you have the right patience and timing. It's not like Manny is
a defensive wizard in the ring. All Pac does is use his speed but if
Cotto is not bothered by it then Manny is in big trouble. This fight
can go either way depending on who is showing up to win on NOV 14th.

                    • when cotto is confident like this he does good for some reason.....look at the fights that he was undergod in or majority of ppl thinking he was gonna lose..like judah,malignaggi,quintana,mosely...they were all fast as well and look what he did....with his confidence right now i believe cotto is gonna win
