    PERIOD

People talk about the Mosley and Zab fights, but that was prePlaster beating Cotto.. He isnt the same. His best days are behind him. You can thank that beast Margo for that
Cotto had trouble finding a target against Clottey therefore slowing down his work rate.

    PERIOD.

I don't think Cotto ca win either, but damn he's getting disrespected at this point.

WAR MIGUEL!! He looks strong. I like Santiago as a trainer. That's some nice pad work. I like the combos and movement.

his counters has good form, speed, and power. his head movement was very good and his footwork. he looks really good. he is relaxed when he fights, but can be very fast when he wants to. some of his moves looked like they would work well against manny too. i want to see him do well and keep fighting but i also like manny. manny isnt so small anymore now that he's been juicing..

Mitts are for accuracy and working on combos.
I'm well aware of everything you mention. What I meant by my post is that If a fighter is fighting an opponent that is either the same height or shorter than him....it's the trainer's job to make sure that in training camp it's represented properly. I.E. getting sparring partners that are not taller than Cotto.

In the case of the mitts....it would have been Santiago's reponsibility to bend his damn knees and take a lower stance to better represent where the target would really be.

That was his first "real" fight back after margarito he had some nervous and rust to work off. He looks to be in great shape and i think he still is in his prime he just needed a tough fight and to get threw it which he did. Cotto is faster than he looks those punches sound hard even when he is not putting everything on them. This will be a big test for Manny he has never been hit by someone like Cotto before. And the notion that Cotto had trouble hitting Clottey well he has great defense and is a huge natural welterweight. The difference is size between him and Manny is staggering. All i know is this fight will live up to the hype. Cant wait. Peace

Oh and one more thing Manny can have great footwork and speed but Cotto is great and cutting off the ring.

Cotto always looks like this in training. Relaxed.. Throwing the jab, which is one of his great weapons. I laugh at those saying Cotto is to slow, when timing is what can nuetralize speed. Once Cotto finds his way with Manny (by catching Manny in his tracks) and timing him.. What will Manny do? He will want to fight, and getting into a fight with a strong guy like Cotto can be a problem, also to mention his left hook. Remember when Marquez caught Manny with that left hook in their second fight? I think it was the end of round 2 if I remember correctly. Manny might be in trouble, if he indeed plans to trade with Cotto outside.

This is going to be interesting in many ways, because everyone seems to discredit Cotto in this fight, as if he is as slow as Mayorga. Judah and Mosley were very fast and hard hitting fighters, but just not with the output of Manny.

Many people are going to be shocked on Nov 14th, while the people who will Root for Cotto will say "I told you so"

Cotto will win with his timing and frustrate Manny. If Cotto does this as stated, then he won't have such a hard time, even though he will be forced to fight and throw many punches.. Stamina might be an issue for Cotto, but it also depends if Manny can take what Cotto has to offer.

Think people.. This fight isn't as easy as you make it to be.. This fight is hard for both, but I believe that Cotto has the skill to eliminate Manny.

Just my opinion.. I love Cotto, and Manny.. Never wanted this fight to happen, but it is.. and I want Cotto to win.

This will be a fight to rememeber! CAN'T WAIT!

              NOVEMBER 14TH!!!

I think Cotto has a great chance of winning. I do think Manny's camp think that Cotto might be a bit damaged after the Magarito fight and that's why they took the fight.

I also think that Miguel might be a bit damaged. But my opinion means " 0 "
Because if it does turn out that Cotto isn't damaged then he can beat Manny. Cotto does know how to box very well and he's got a good chin.
I'm not a big fan of his but a "prime" cotto can handle Manny.

Just, jab jab,.....straight, walk around and repeat for another 10 minutes

                      then maybe, jab jab, hook.

to wildly change things up...jab jab, uppercut.

All his pad work is the same, and as exciting as his personality.

And for some reason, the way santiago holds the mitts irritates me.
