Porter did say he's keeping his weight down at 165. So I suppose he could weigh as much as 170. And I don't doubt he's stronger than Cotto but experience is another thing but he's moving along quite well.

What I still find funny is that the guy fights nothing like Cotto. He is though an exact replica of Mosley. I've seen all of his fights now, and when I heard that he was the main sparring partner for this fight because he fought like Cotto, I nearly peed myself.

Seriously, how close are Mosley and Cotto in their styles? That's how close Porter and Cotto are. Porter fights lke a clone of Mosley and not like Cotto. Still, great sparring to have a guy that quick and solid. It will do wonders for Pac in his training.

it's because he was a middleweight in the ams. in the ams middleweight is 165 which would be super middle in the pros. plus his fights so far have been in the 154-168 range.

i agree with you that he fights more like the 154 mosley than cotto. that said it shouldn't be too hard for him to fight like cotto when instructed to do so.

easier to have a mosley fight like a cotto than a cotto to fight like a mosley. mosley is superior.
