I just don't like that it wasn't for a title.

Tua or his promoter/manager/whatever is fricken ****** if they did. A dominant KO win over Arreola might have propelled him right into a title shot.

I think Williams should've tried to get back down to 154 after that fight with Pavlik fell apart. There is nothing at Middleweight and fighting a 154 lb fighter there just gives the big names at 147 to come up with the excuse that he is not close to their size. Forrest had a hard time getting big names to fight him when he had the WBC belt, but at least it's a little bit of leverage.

I also heard that Dzinziruk is signing a deal with Don King and will likely fight Cory Spinks. Uuuuugh. That's not a good fight to have to be exposed to the American public unless Spinks really does stand and fight. But if there was a four man tourney between all of these guys, there would be no question as to who the best at 154 is.

I had a nice set of plans for attending Pav vs Williams...now that it's Williams vs Martinez, idk...better have a nice, real nice undercard.

Excited for this one. Paul should take it though.

If they choose Beck, I'll be very disappointed.

Why not Odlanier Solis or Denis Boytsov? A fringe contender like Malik Scott, Michael Grant or Brian Minto would be better than Beck, who's not even a BoxRec top 100 heavyweight (he's #137).

Spinks did stand and fight in his last fight against Lattimore. Those who didn't see it probably won't believe me, but he won the fight by infighting. Darn good fight actually.
