Paul Williams-Sergio Martinez Heads To Boardwalk Hall

BoxingScene.com has been informed that Paul Williams vs. Sergio Martinez will take place at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City on December 5. HBO will televise the fight. Williams was scheduled to fight WBO/WBC middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik at the same venue. After Pavlik withdrew with a left hand injury, most were expected the event to land in a West Coast venue. Heavyweight Chris Arreola will appear in the co-feature. His opponent should be finalized in the next two to three days.

I think I'm almost as excited about this match up as I was with the Pavlik one. Should be a damn good fight.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to seeing Paul Williams in the ring again. He goes out of his way to give the fans excitement. I'll bet this is the first time that he's fought on the East coast in a long time. You'd think some fans would come out and support him since he trains in the DC area. I hope so.

Thats what I was thinking, put him in against a decent fighter or don't put him there at all. Anyways the Hall sounds like a good venue for this fight.

Aren't they showing him against Owen Beck? That's a joke. Did Tua turn Arreola down?

It's going to be a fairly empty Boardwalk Hall.

It's too bad fans don't want to come out and support a real fighter as opposed to a drunk ass hill jack that gets in bar fights against by standers.
