PRIME De la Hoya . The one loss DLH that should have been undefeated, without the Tito debacle. 9 years later he beats that man that beat the man, who used illegal hand wraps no less. Mosley is the man at WW while Mayweather has barely fought a true WW that posed any significant threat. Mosley is such a threat but he opted for lightweight Marquez instead. The reluctance is obvious how do you not see it?
If you watched the fight..hatton wasn't smaller. It was about equal. That was part of my point.
Plus hatton looked very healthy and active at that weight... not blown up or any such nonsense like that.
I agree with you in that hatton was healthy for that fight but i stil think he looked a bit smaller than floyd in the fight itself, were not taking much and im not making an issue of it but the other guy was bringing it up so i responded. He actually said that hatton is bigger than floyd, which is not true. At best they are equal. But since hatton can easily make 140 and has done for his last 3 fights i think he is a bit smaller than floyd

The Hatton, DLH, and Judah fights were not exactly cakewalks for PBF
Each posed their own problems for Floyd, and by proxy, risks.
no..... i wouldn't, but Hatton was a good matchup for Floyd when it happened the first time
Yeah it was and it was a decent fight until Floyd and the turnbuckle flattened hatton
hahah
I dont think Floyd gets much credit for that win
it was a legit win
Ricky was undefeated and the fight was at 147 so to me its easier on Ricks body and a better weight for him
Screw the details of who fought Floyd when and erroneous dates that might have been mentioned. That wasn't the point of the confrontation. The bottom line in that interview was ever since the Corrales fight 9 years ago, Floyd has never fought anyone on even grounds that had any chance of beating him. RA's interview was a "Thank You!" moment for us fans not because he told off a high profile personality but because he said to Floyd's face the biggest criticism that revolved the latter part od Floyd's career. Cherry picking.
It's exasperating to see a guy with so much natural talent and skill, put money and fear of losing over legacy and immortality. Legacy don't pay the bills? That about sums up what Floyd thinks of this sport and its fans.
Actually thinking about it, i remember not too long ago there was a lot of discussion about floyd and him being a small WW and i mentioned one time that if you cant or wont make 140 then you are a WW. I got slated by a lot of floyd die hards who told me that floyd could still easily make 140 if he wanted, i wonder are they so sure now? With floyd not making 145 and lets face it not allowing fight night weights. Would you agree with me that floyd could be fighting at 153 or even 155 (gasp) fight night possibly?? The guy in the vid here says that floyd walks around at 152, but im wondering now. What do you think?

yeah, he's definitely gotten bigger since his 18 month layoff..
I'm actually excited to see what this current version of Floyd can do. I think everyone else is too, and that's why they are so impatient to see him fight someone else, or commit to fighting someone else.
RA really hurt some stans feelins round here. Nothin has changed, and he ain't say nothin new. Mr boat buyer need to fight SSM and the Pac-Cotto winner, then nobody can say ****. Simple as that.
